I just filled out the FSLN survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/S8CMXKK and it took about 10 minutes. Today is the deadline! It’s been so awesome hearing from so many programs on our calls and I for one would LOVE a more in depth understanding of what you all are doing and how you’re navigating LFPA.

Drop a comment below if you completed the survey ?

Survey only took me 5 minutes! I know these surveys help organizers of this amazing CoP, so encourage others to take a few minutes to fill it out.

Thanks Giselle and Eva – and to everyone who completed this short survey for the LFPA story-telling project. We have decided to extend the deadline to this Friday, February 17th… so if you haven’t filled it out yet, there is still time!

      Details on this story-telling effort:

The Wallace Center is spearheading an initiative to research the USDA Local Food Purchase Assistance Cooperative Agreement Program (LFPA), to amplify stories of how these programs are working on the ground, and to inform federal policies that will support small- and mid-sized farms, socially disadvantaged producers, and resilient local food systems in the long run.?As part of this effort, we are looking to collaborate with 10 LFPA programs from across the country to co-create narrative pieces spotlighting their programs. We are particularly looking to feature highly collaborative grassroots models that explicitly center racial equity in their approach.

These featured stories will be collaboratively developed through interviews with three organizations participating in an LFPA program, ideally representing a diversity of roles like production, aggregation, value chain coordination and distribution. The final products will be shared widely through the Food Systems Leadership Network, with other national networks, USDA, funders and policymakers. Participating organizations will receive an honorarium payment, professional photographs of their program in action, and a suite of communications tools to promote the story of their program.
