Hey guys,
I wanted to share this with the network. We are opening up our next Fellows program. I was hoping you could share this opportunity with your network. Just a little background, we offer a 1-year Fellowship program for early career thought leaders looking for a career in food justice. I will send the details below. Please let me know if you know of anyone that would be interested in applying!
The program is open to early career BIPOC researchers, academics, and grassroots advocates in the food justice/sovereignty space. As a Food First Fellow, you will receive a $50,000 stipend, a potential health insurance supplement, and up to $1,500 for travel expenses. You will also have access to a dynamic network of local and global organizations, social movements, NGOs, scholars, and activists working towards social justice in food and agriculture.
The inaugural cohort of up to three (3) Fellows will serve a one-year fellowship with a possible additional year extension. You will be expected to work 35 hrs/week for 50 weeks during the fellowship year, attend weekly 1-hour group cohort check-ins, and establish mentorship goals. The application period opens March 15th, 2023 and continues until June 30th, 2023. We are also planning a virtual webinar for interested applicants on March 17th, 2023.
