Networking Farmers with Farmers

Hello all! I am developing a new network: the Nevada Farm Network. It will be an online platform that will connect Nevada farmers to each other and to the best agricultural resources, facilitating farm viability and a thriving and connected farm community in the state. I have a couple questions I’d love to hear from you all on:

    1. Has anyone else networked farmers who’d be willing to speak with me about their experience? I’m especially interested about getting farmers invested and keeping them engaging.

    2. We don’t have funding or web design staff to create a cool website like this one. We will have to host our Network on an existing platform – such as Mighty Networks or Hylo. Do any of you have experience with platforms like this that you would recommend using (or not!)?

<font face=”inherit”>3. Any notes on network </font>sustainability<font face=”inherit”>? This project is only grant funded through 2024.</font>

    <font face=”inherit”>Thanks so much!</font>

    Hi Anna,

Organic Seed Alliance has had good engagement and retention on our Organic Seed Commons network we developed on the Mighty Networks platform. It’s particularly good for events, posts/discussions, and educational courses.
