Advocacy Materials for EAT Local Foods Act
Hello everyone!
Last week, I posted a new blog for NSAC about LFPA and the EAT Local Foods Act. You can read it here: https://sustainableagriculture.net/blog/senate-bill-offers-a-pathway-to-sustain-local-food-purchasing-program/
In addition to reading it (which I hope you do), I’d like to highlight the “take action” portion at the bottom of the blog. The green box takes you to an online action opportunity (https://secure.everyaction.com/yoDMi5FjREWK2aGvxeZBBA2) that you can easily share out on your social media, send to your networks, etc. It will allow for individuals to type in their information and directly contact their members of congress to ask for support for LFPA via the EAT Local Foods Act.
NSAC members are reaching out to their members of congress now! And come early May, we will be doing a big grassroots push hoping to send a clear message to Congress that we need LFPA to continue for the sake of our farmers and their communities.
Please let me know if you have any questions! Or share in the discussion board the fun ways you are engaging folks about LFPA.
