  HUGE WIN FOR FARM TO FOOD ASSISTANCE!

  Good afternoon everyone!

  I am writing with very exciting news. Today, Secretary Vilsack and USDA announced an additional $1.7 billion in funding for local food purchases. Specifically,

  • $500 million for LFPA
  • $500 million for Local Food in Schools
  • $200 million for a new, local food in child care facilities initiative
  • and $500 million for TEFAP
