September 2024 F2FA Community of Practice Call
We realized that you may not have received the message that the August session of our Community of Practice was cancelled for summer break.
We’ll be back in action in September (Thursday, September 12, 3-4:30PM — Mark your calendar now.) and are planning to focus the call on strategies for sustaining and institutionalizing Farm to Food Assistance programs for the long-term. Given funding fluctuations and uncertainties, how might we keep important work going in our communities?
We’d like to feature examples where states have created funding streams for F2FA, where food assistance organizations and agencies have created procurement policies that require F2FA purchases, and where folks are leveraging other market channels and incentive programs (like Food is Medicine) to ensure farmers get a fair price for their products and families get the food assistance they need to thrive.
