Thursday, October 17: Join us for our Community of Practice Zoom
Join us for a celebration of our national Farm to Food Assistance Community of Practice! For the past two years, we have collaboratively supported the growth of this emerging field, the practice of bringing justice to our emergency food networks, and sharing knowledge, resources, and advocacy tools.
As a result of all our work together, the Food Systems Leadership Network has created the first ever substantive report on the values, models, successes, challenges, and recommendations for furthering the work of our community, titled “Farm to Food Assistance: A Model for Values-Based, Equity-Centered Approaches to Transforming the Food System.”
On Thursday, October 17th, the Wallace Center’s Susan Lightfoot Schempf and Andrew Carberry will preview this report and present an overview of what we’ve done and learned together, as well as the recommendations for advancing the Farm to Food Assistance work. We’ll discuss: What now? Where do we go from here? And, who is best situated to take us there?
When: Thursday, Oct 17 3EST/12PST
Facilitators: Jen Dalton and Miles Gordon, Kitchen Table Consulting
Speakers: Susan Lightfoot Schempf and Andrew Carberry (Wallace Center)
