    Hello,

    Penn State Extension recently launched a monthly community call for PA food hub operators, as a place to connect and share ideas and solutions. We thought it might be beneficial to all to open it up to other food hub professionals in the region (or beyond).

    Please join us on Wednesday, June 16 at 9am for a one-hour community call for food hub operators – past, present, and future. This is a casual forum for connection, collaboration, and resource sharing. Be prepared to jump into conversation. Feel free to bring something to ask or share with others.

    REGISTER HERE for the zoom link. (Call-ins are also welcome.)

    Who should attend?

    <div>

    Food hub managers and staff

    Food hub board members

    Community organizations and organizers developing a food hub

    Other practitioners aiding the development or management of a food hub

    We welcome non-profits, for-profits, cooperatives, wholesalers, retailers, box builders, food trucks, and other entities that are actively aggregating and distributing local and regional foods.

    Looking forward to the discussion!

    The next community food hub community call will be Wed, July 14 at 9am. If you plan to join us, please help us by registering, and you’ll automatically get the zoom link/call-in numbers.

    We will center the conversation around labor. We are interested in hearing:

    • Whether you are facing
      any challenges finding or keeping employees
    • Any labor-related
      changes (practices, policies, pay scales) you might have made over the
      last year
    • How labor might be
      impacting your operations
    • …and anything else
      labor-related you might wish to discuss

    <div>

    As always, we will leave plenty of time for open discussion about other topics you wish to share/ask about.

    Reminder: this is a call for food hub (any business model) managers and practitioners.

    Looking forward to the discussion!
