2021 Harmonized Updates Refresher
From Clara Rivera:
2021 Harmonized Updates Refresher
We are pleased to announce the planned delivery of the 2021 Harmonized Updates and Tomato Audit Protocol (TAP) auditor training classes for 2021. We plan on delivering 5 separate Online Harmonized GAP Update & TAP refresher classes beginning next month. Each of these classes will have self-paced materials in conjunction with a 1-day live component, which will be completed in Blackboard/Collaborate. Each of the individual training days will contain approximately 5 hours of Live Instruction and additional self-guided study materials/assignments that students finish to complete the training.
Attendance in one of the Live Sessions is one-half of the requirements for completing the refresher. The second half requirements are the self-guided study materials and assignments.
Dates for Live Sessions- 2021 Harmonized Updates Refresher:
• April 13, 2021 – Online via Blackboard (T, Time: 11:00 a.m.—5:00 p.m. eastern)
• April 21, 2021 – Online via Blackboard (W, Time: 11:00 a.m.—5:00 p.m. eastern)

• June 10, 2021 – Online via Blackboard (R, Time: 10:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m. eastern)
Prerequisites
Prior to attendance at the Live Sessions, Auditors must be current AMS Auditors or Auditors-in-Training who have previously completed the USDA Harmonized/Harmonized Plus+ Training. Auditor Status will be verified prior to course enrollment.
Pre-Registration
Each State office and OIC (federal offices) must fill out the attached Excel spreadsheet “2021 Auditor Training Pre-Registration Sheet – Refreshers” to list out all auditors they intend to have participate in the refresher.
***Note this is not the same pre-registration sheet for routine training and you must only use the pre-registration sheet attached to this email for the refresher.
This list must be sent through your Federal Program Manager (for Fed-state) or OIC (for Federal) who will verify and forward to the Audit Services Branch ([email protected]). This is due no later than April 2, 2021. Those names appearing on the pre-registration form are tentative pending verification of current auditor status. Upon timely submission of Pre-Registration sheets, Auditors will receive instructions on how to self-register and enroll for the selected refresher course.
Self-Registration in Blackboard
Students who have been accepted for training (met the pre-registration and current auditor requirements) will be required to self-register for the chosen course. After pre-registration is received and the Auditor’s status is verified, students will be provided instructions on how to self-register.
Operating System Requirements
To ensure proper course delivery, students are required to have a stable internet connection with audio and video capabilities. Students must also have their own unique email address and may not share an email address (such as a group office email account). In addition, students will need to have access to either Firefox or Google Chrome web browsers. Internet Explorer is not supported by the program. If you have any questions, please contact your Federal Program Manager, OIC, or the Audit Services Branch.
