Hi all, I wanted to share two resources coming out of the Food Safety Project at the National Young Farmers Coalition. We worked on both of these resources along with Billy Mitchell of National Farmers’ Union.
The first is an online sign making tool to make customized food safety signs for your farm. We created and designed this tool based on feedback from farmers in focus groups and workshops stating that food safety sign templates would be helpful. The second resource is a Food Safety Plan Template with a companion podcast embedded in the template.

This is a resource to help farmers write their food safety plans in a way that is cohesive with a farm manual (and what they may already be doing on their farms) and not meant to pass an audit or inspections – so geared toward small farmers not subject to the PSR.
