From Clara Rivera:
USDA Harmonized New Internal Auditor Training
We are pleased to announce the new auditor training classes for 2021 are open for registration. These courses are only available to auditors who are affiliated with groups that have applied for GroupGAP certification. If you are a new Group who wishes to apply to be a part of this certification program, please contact [email protected].
We plan on holding 3 Harmonized GAP Plus+ standard auditor classes this year. Each of these classes is online via blackboard and consists of 5 days of live instruction and independent assignments. Classes will begin Monday and end Friday, however times will be determined depending upon the composition of students’ locations. In general, students will be expected to be available 8 hours per day for the entire week. Students must have access to a stable internet connection, Firefox or Google Chrome web browsers, and their own email address to be used for enrollment.
Classes will cost $900 for all industry participants.
1. Harmonized GAP Plus+ Training; March 22 – March 26, 2021 (Closed);
2. Harmonized GAP Plus+ Training; April 26 – April 30, 2021 (online via Blackboard);
3. Harmonized GAP Plus+ Training; May 24 – May 28, 2021 (online via Blackboard);
Current auditors or students who wish to be trained in USDA GAP&GHP will need to complete (or have completed) a Harmonized Plus+ class, and then attend an online USDA GAP&GHP transition training 2-day, online class. We will be providing two offerings; these classes will be held April 7 & 8 and June 1 & 2, respectively.
– New auditors are responsible for attending a Produce Safety Alliance course and the Fundamentals of Auditing prior to their class. Fundamentals of Auditing will be offered online through USDA’s Blackboard Platform. Self- Registration instructions for the Fundamentals of Auditing will be sent out once you are registered.
