Dec 17: Solidarity Economy Principles, plus Nov follow-up & 2024 in review

We’re closing out 2024 with a session that draws from many threads we’ve delved into this year. Below, I provide a quick travelogue of where we’ve been together this year. But first let’s center December 17th from 2-3:15pm Central, when we’ll welcome Jamila Medley to share the Solidarity Economy Principles. In keeping with our Q4 theme of identifying leverage points in your value chain, we’ll get a sense of how these principles can be practiced in collaboration with your community, in service of increasingly equitable food systems.

Getting Value from Our Prototypes: Follow-up and feedback from November’s session on the Innovators’ Compass?

November Guest-speaker Ela Ben-Ur would be curious to hear: Did any of the participants on the call with Rebecca [Chesney and me] share back anything in their work/life that resulted from the call? Let Ela and VCC CoP team any dots you may have connected after picking an area of “stuckness” to explore using the Compass by responding in the Discussion Group. (See Andrew’s 11/20/24 post in the Discussion Group for our work from the session and info on the Innovators’ Compass.)

    • How
does the “speed of trust” inform collaborations in food systems work?

  • February:
Starting the Year by Getting Grounded
    • It’s
easy to feel overwhelmed, given the pace and volume of VCC work. The list
of tasks, deadlines, and challenges for food systems leaders goes on…
    • “As
we get rolling with the new year, let’s reflect on how overwhelm impacts
our nervous systems, our relationships with others, and our efficacy.
Plenty of time for discussion and connection!”

would you say is your learning edge?
