Today! March VCC CoP Call
Hello! I hope you can make today’s VCC CoP call starting at 2:00PM CT – it’s going to be a good one!
On February 27th, $26 million was made available for USDA’s Local Agriculture Market Program (LAMP) to, among other things, coordinate producer-to-consumer marketing, local and regional food markets, and local food enterprises. That’s us! With a deadline of May 14, 2024, that means 11 weeks to pull proposals together. Let’s huddle up on March 19, 2024 from 2:00-3:15 p.m. Central to compare notes on past LAMP experiences and current considerations, as well on the resources USDA AMS has made available to navigate program impacts and additional local/regional food systems programs and services. To help us get the conversation started and moving in the direction of useful insights, we’re pleased to welcome Sheree Goertzen, Funding Development Specialist & Research Associate at New Venture Advisors LLC. As the session approaches, you may appreciate Sheree’s recently updated blog post entitled, A GUIDE TO USDA LAMP GRANTS FOR FOOD SYSTEM PROJECTS. It provides a LAMP overview, as well as a readiness checklist of things to do to prepare to apply. Hope you can join us!
