Hi everyone, Thanks for such a great CoP conversation last week. It was so fun to learn with you. The topic for the January call is “Producer Support Tools.” We’re looking for folks who are using production planning and forward contracting in their farm to food assistance programs to help producers minimize risk. Are you using one or both of these tools? Would you be interested in sharing what you know with the group? Let me know by replying to this discussion or via email ([email protected])! Good morning all, greetings from snowy Minnesota. We are just wrapping up nearly $1M in production planning and contracting for 2023. Most of the producers we are working with are small, BIPOC, and Emerging Growers who have historically been shut out of wholesale markets and have never had contracts. This will be our third year contracting with most of these growers, and we are starting to see the positive impact on these families and communities. I am happy to join the conversation if it would be valuable for other folks to hear what we’ve been up to.
