(just posted this same topic in another group but then realized I was in the wrong group! ?)

Hello All! I’ve been following the CCF (https://communitycentricfundraising.org/) movement for a couple of years now. I love what the work that they are doing and support their efforts to reimagine how we fundraise. I also had the good fortune to be a participant in the FSLN Leadership Retreat where we spent a lot of time examining white supremacy culture as well as systems theories/models of change. A question that I have been pondering is how to reconcile the seemingly contradictory need to respond to (often times) urgent crises/community needs while not succumbing to what Tema Okun identifies as a white supremacist characteristic which is to always be operating with a sense of urgency. Any thoughts?
