    What’s your value chain ethos?

Applying a rhetorical framework to articulate and communicate your value chain drivers.

Join the call with Jodee Smith, Assistant Director of Indiana University’s Food Institute to brainstorm and create shared knowledge and resources around the ethos, pathos, logos, and kairos of value chain work. Learn how to apply rhetorical strategies for multiple stakeholders including farmers, decision-makers, buyers, policymakers, funders and others. Dust off your high school language arts notes and have fun brainstorming how you show up as a VCP!

Questions we’ll explore include: What is your credibility and why should someone trust you (ethos)? What values and emotions are you pulling on to find shared ground (pathos)? What data is useful and in what situations (logos)? And timing is important – when should you use these strategies, what is your tone, and when should you listen (kairos)? We’ll have a mix of presentation and time in small groups applying these frameworks. April 18th, 3-4:15 ET. Register here
