Hey everyone- we’ve got a great call coming up next Tuesday exploring what we can learn from past USDA support of VCC and how we can make the most of opportunities with the Regional Food Business Centers. Hope to see you there!

Value Chain Coordination CoP— Tuesday, April 16th (3-4:15pm ET)

    • Topic: The Regional Food Business Centers are a bold move by
USDA to strengthen and coordinate local/regional food systems at
scale. But it’s not the first such move: What can we learn from
2016’s Food LINC program about the central and unique role Value
Chain Coordinators can play in RFBCs?
    • Facilitators: Eric DeLuca (Food Finance Institute) and Pete
      Huff (Wallace Center)
    • Guest
      speakers:
      Rock Woods (Delta Regional Food
Business Center), Sue Beckwith (Texas Center for Local Food), and Sarah Rocker
      (USDA-NIFA).

    Thanks Andrew!

So many of us are in the orbit of RFBCs. As they get rolling, this is a great time to think together with USDA and RFBC leaders re how VCCs can be a catalyst for RFBCs realizing their optimal impact. Your questions and hunches are as important as your track record and lessons learned. I hope you can join us Tuesday and I’m so appreciative of the guests from USDA at the Delta RFBC!
