Hi ya’ll. During our April call I had asked about the influence of the USDA FoodLINC initiative on the work of value chain coordinating today, particularly the impact on govt VCC positions. I’ve uploaded some of the slides and such from the USDA FoodLINC initiative. For us at the Texas Center for Local Food, FoodLINC brought us in touch with other practitioners across the country enabling us to share ideas and resources. USDA brought influential funders into local and regional food systems discussions. IMHO, the impact was significant across the nation and kick started much of the work those of us in this group. I think a new USDA FoodLINC initiative in 2022 could help us take a big leap forward and use the finds that are out there most effectively.
